The King of Mock

The King of Mock

In a turn of events fitting of the greatest of Shakespearean acts, it came to be that the most pathetic play in yesterdays pro bowl was not on the field, but what took place off of it.

Raiders punter Marquette King has certainly made himself known through the Snapchat’s and Instaface’s of social media.  Personally, I’m not a huge fan of King’s act and it seems, I’m not the only one who feels that way.

A few weeks ago King had a little bit of fun with the Talib chain snatch.

Determined to get noticed, King wasn’t done.  Not since the balloon boy hoax have we seen such staged embarrassment.

I’m just glad he chose to role play the gold chain, I’d hate to see him punt with a bullet in his leg.

24 hours later, some folks aren’t amused.

Yes, that would be the Bruce Irvin.  For King’s sake, lets hope Irvin also has a good sense of humor.

I don’t have a problem clowning on Crabtree if that’s how he feels, but you don’t put the man on blast in front of the world.  This should have never left the locker room.  It’s quite possible Crabtree shares Irvin’s sentiments, and if that’s the case, King might not want to wear any chains for a while.
